Heide & Joey's Wedding in Genoa, IL
Heide is without a doubt a COVID bride. She was due to marry last year, and with all of the restrictions, she kept pushing out their wedding date. As we got closer to the wedding this year, it looked like it had finally arrived. We were, at last, going to see them marry at the beautiful State Road Gardens Farm out in Kane County, Illinois.
Heide decided they wanted to do a first look, but we ended up with more than we bargained for – it poured rain about 10 minutes later while shooting some pictures on their farm. Rain on your wedding day is a great omen, right? Well, this turned out to be perfect. Despite the soaking rain, we headed for the venue and the rest of the day was nothing but sunshine and clear skies. They were surrounded by their friends and family, while Dave Talsma officiated their ceremony.
They ended their day with a beautiful sunset and danced the night away under the starry skies with music from DJ Adam and more delicious food catered by the fabulous Your Day Your Way Events and Catering.
