FAQ

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Absolutely! We will discuss pricing with you once we know the location, dates, and other details to determine your package price.

Do you serve the LGBTQIA+ Community?

WITH PRIDE!!!! We truly do believe 'Love is love' for everyone regardless of age, gender identity, race, nationality, or religion. If you do not see yourself represented in our portfolio, it's time to reach out! We want to share everyone's love story and include you in our galleries, blog posts and portfolio for the world to see!

Will there be a second shooter?

Yes, in every single package we offer. This is non-negotiable for us, as it's a safety net for us as well as for you. A guest can pop into our frame, block our view and it guarantees we have at least two vantage points at all times.

Do I have to order prints through you?

Do you have to? No, but we strongly recommend using our printer for archival-quality printing and paper that will never fade or crack. We offer matte and pearl papers plus canvas, and sizes 4x6 to 20x30. The printers we source are used by professional photographers around the world.

With that said, we do provide a document with your digital images that allows you to take them to any printer of your choice.

Do you provide the native photo files?

We do not provide native files. We provide final JPG files in hi-resolution for printing.

Can I extend the session on the day of my wedding?

By all means, yes. Our packages are flexible with the amount of time we provide, but we will certainly come earlier than planned, or stay longer if needed, at your request. There is an hourly rate available for additional time.

How long do you keep my images?

Currently, we only offer archived storage for 6 months at no charge. If you prefer us to archive longer, we can do so for a nominal yearly fee.

Do I own the copyright to my images?

Parker Photography owns all rights to images and video obtained during events. We reserve the right to use them for marketing such as ads, social media, and showing to future clients. You will receive a document that allows you to print the images unrestricted, however you do not own the rights to the images.

Why is there sales tax?

In the state of Illinois, digital items delivered electronically do not require sales tax; however, since PPIL provides a customized USB drive on all wedding packages, the tax laws apply, and the deliverables are now considered tangible. Taxes are not included in the price of the package, and will be applied at the time of invoicing.

Services are not taxable unless the service produces physical goods, such as albums, prints, and any digital media (USB, CD, etc.) Illinois law requires sales tax on 10% of the service’s total price and must be applied.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We gladly accept check or cash, and will accept credit card/debit cards with a 3% fee applied to your total balance. We currently do not accept Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal for security reasons.

What are your payment terms?

Once you select a package, 1/3 of the payment is required at the time of signing the contract in order to hold your date. The 2nd payment is due halfway between your booking date and your final payment. Final payment is due 30 days prior to you event date.

What is your refund policy?

Specifically for weddings, the retainer fee (1/3) is non-refundable, however if the date is rescheduled, the retainer will still be applied to new date if event is within a 12-month period.

I found this great print/canvas/album – do you offer all of these?

We work a nationally accredited professional photo lab, used by thousands of professional photographers across the globe. We don't give you every option that we have access to, but if you can find it online, good chances are we can make it happen. Just ask us for pricing!
