The celebration featured a mariachi band, paying homage to Jessica's Mexican heritage. Emotional moments included Jessica's father walking her down the aisle and the first looks between the bride and groom.

Katie & Caroline Wedding Highlight | Glenview, IL
Join us as we celebrate the love and union of Katie and Caroline, who tied the knot on December 1, 2023. This special occasion marks the first bride/bride wedding that we've had the honor of capturing on video.
The ceremony took place at the County Circuit Clerk, where the couple exchanged vows and sealed their commitment to each other. Following the heartfelt ceremony, friends and family gathered at the Glenview Park District for a joyous reception.
The wedding theme was elegantly adorned in wintery blue, silver, and white hues, perfectly complementing the season's charm. Katie looked stunning in her all-white ensemble, while Caroline radiated elegance in all-black attire.

From the day I met Jessi & Ryan for the engagement session at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, I could not wait for their wedding day.
Oftentimes I drag my hubs with me to engagement shoots to film BTS for my social channels, and they get to know him, and more times than not, by the end of the session, they have booked video services with us because they love us working together. This was no exception.
There are so many parts of their wedding day that were unforgettable (like the hysterical giggles from Jessi, and the humourous demeanor from Ryan all day. ) There were so many sweet moments like their first looks followed by intimate vows exchanged after the ceremony. I couldn't pick everything, but this video truly highlights their day and all the best parts that I simply could not leave out.

Riley & Jim | Wedding Highlight Video
I genuinely love all of my couples, and do you know why? They didn't choose me. I chose THEM. I reserve the right after any consultation (and subsequently any engagement session where I get to know them) to turn couples away. So when I accept a couple as my clients, they go in knowing I truly want to work with them.
I photographed Riley & Jim's engagement in February of 2022. It was cold, and when I say it was cold, I mean IT. WAS. COLD. We were hovering around 5°F in the early morning.
Fast forward to December 2022, and their wedding day was no different. It was cold, and we had snow flurries. Jim arrived in his best SF 49'ers zip-up onesie (yes, I'm serious) and I knew that being the last wedding of the year, this was going to be a blast.

Theresa & Kenneth | Wedding Highlight Video
I love working with couples who have been through life (aka- couples in their 40's, 50's, and even 60's.) They have realistic expectations, and they understand what can be done on a wedding day. They aren't driven by social media, or the "Pinterest-Worthy Perfect Wedding." They put their own flair into their wedding, and they don't take everyone's wants and needs into account – they do what THEY want.
Theresa & Kenneth were blending families, involving grown children, and they were all a part of the bridal party. Kenneth's best man, Randy, was the life of the party, to say the least. His Best Man speech was nothing short of spectacular when it came to singing Nat King Cole instead of the tired old speech of how they all knew each other, hokey stories, and more. He involved the bridal party in his "L-O-V-E" rendition and even donned the fedora and sunglasses to make it official.

Mallory & Brandon | Wedding Highlight Video
I knew the second Mallory & Brandon wanted their dog, Willow, in their engagement session photos, THESE WERE MY PEOPLE. I can never say no to dog requests. During their engagement session, when they told me Willow would be their ring bearer, I was stoked.
Mallory chose beautiful fall colors for their October wedding, along with mums, sunflowers, and pumpkins galore. Being in Illinois, you never know what weather you'll face mid-October. It might rain, could snow, but their wedding day weather was spot-on perfect for outdoor photos with their bridal party. Willow did an amazing job as ring bearer (and snoozing through part of the ceremony).
The couple shared their first dance with each other, followed by dances with their parents. They wrapped up the night with a sparkler "send-off" downtown under the string lights with their closest family and bridal party. A perfect ending to a perfect wedding day.

Taylor & Shawn | Wedding Highlight Video
I've always said no two weddings are ever the same. Each couple has its own vision, and every couple has always had their own special touches and surprises on their wedding day. Taylor and Shawn definitely hit every mark with that statement. They hired a trolley to get the family and their bridal party to Walton Island for formals, and it made for such unique photo opportunities. Shawn's best man presented him with a version of the ever-elusive green Master's Jacket as a gift. They had a solo acoustic guitar player not only for their reception but for a quiet intimate session just before they walked down the aisle, surrounded by friends and family in the bridal suite.

Taylor & Spenser were married back in November at the Highland Lofts. We were honored not only to photograph their wedding, but to make their highlight video. Everything about their day was unique – and then Taylor threw a big surprise at us, just a few short weeks before the wedding day – the ring bearer would be driving a car down the aisle, and very, VERY few people knew about the surprise. COUNT US IN! He and the flower girl were nothing short of adorable, and he did a great job of staying on the mark as he drove.

Katy & Jake | Wedding Highlight Video
Katy & Jake's wedding, set in the beautiful resort town of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, was unique from the word 'go.' Their wedding theme was Nightmare Before Christmas. Her gorgeous gown was white trimmed in black lace, and his tux was black and purple brocade. My jaw dropped when I saw both of their wedding attire. Their reception tables were all decorated in various centerpieces (all themed of course) but they carried the theme through the entire event (have you seen a bride walk down the aisle to Thriller?!)

Jen & Tony | Wedding Highlight Video
Jen & Tony tied the knot in the resort town of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin in September, at the beautiful Riviera Ballroom. With sweeping views of the lake, and last-minute boaters enjoying what was left of summer, they were surrounded by friends and family who showed them nothing but love. Their ceremony intertwined traditions from both of their cultures, with a mix of true happiness as they blended their families together.

Tonya & Dave were married in 2020; however, COVID had other plans for their big day. In August of 2021, they were able to renew their vows in front of all their friends and family, and throw one heck of a party. Most of my previous couples should recognize these two, as they are the Your Day Your Way team!

Esme & Manny married at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Calumet City, IL with a reception following at Centennial Park in Munster, IN. This is the highlight of their big day, from getting ready at the groom's parent's house to ending with the Snake Dance at their reception. We can't wait for you to enjoy their journey!
