Margaret & Zachary's Wedding | Bucyrus Club | Milwaukee, WI
Margaret and Zach threw a few curveballs when we got down to the nitty-gritty of the wedding timeline. No cake cutting. No dances with their parents. No first look other than with each other. I thought it was unusual, but they simply said, "We want to ditch the traditions, have fun, and party." Well, ALRIGHT THEN, LET'S DO IT!
They both started at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Milwaukee. It was GORGEOUS for their vintage/art-deco-style wedding. The hotel has an amazing marble staircase in the lobby that made for a beautiful spot for their first looks. Zach and his guys were ready to go when we arrived, and the girls were still busy hanging out finishing their makeup touch-ups before getting dressed. Zach donned a burgundy suit, and Margaret was stunning in her gown by Jasmine Bridal.
After the first look, they wanted to sneak away and get a few photos by the old bank vault hidden deep inside the hotel corridors. Again, totally fitting for their wedding style! The group then hopped on a coach to head to Bucyrus Club just outside of Milwaukee. Bucyrus reminded me of an old-style supper club – super rich woodgrain, bear skin rugs, dark and moody. Completely their style. They tied the knot in the private ceremony area surrounded by friends and family and headed to cocktail hour just a few short steps away in the lounge.
Dinner soon followed with heartfelt speeches from their bridal party telling stories of how they met, then followed by music from RC Productions who did an amazing job of keeping the dance floor going all night. This location was a hidden gem for sure, and I hope more couples take a moment to consider the location – the staff was amazing, the food was divine, and the vibe was totally up their alley through and through.
Congratulations, Margaret & Zachary. I loved that you ditched tradition and made this day completely yours, and we were honored to be a huge part of it that you can remember always!
