Riley & Jim's Engagement Session Part 1

at Fox River Shores Forest Preserve | Carpentersville, IL | Kane County

Riley and Jim booked with me and wanted to make sure we got in a few engagement pictures for their Save-the-Date cards. This was a new location for me, so it threw us a curveball when we found out we had to hike down the path to get to a nice area. Did I mention it was -1°?! When I say it was cold, I mean IT. WAS. COLD.

Riley was dressed all cute in her fashionable boots, but was shaking 10 minutes into the session. I had on thermals, winter coat, earmuffs, gloves, and snow boots and my fingers literally froze in place to the point I couldn't even get to trigger the release button on the camera! After 40 minutes, we all decided to call it quits. They were happy if we got even one good photo for the card. We got a bunch and they were perfect for their winter-themed wedding coming this December.

Now to plan Part 2 in the spring.... when we can all recover from frozen fingers and toes and smell the flowers!
