North Avenue Beach, just north of downtown on the lakefront, is perfect for early-morning engagement sessions! Between the pier, the beach with sand and clear water (most days), trails, and the city skyline, it's the perfect (FREE) spot near Chicago.

TIP: If booking an engagement session lakefront, we strongly recommend early morning to beat the crowds, the other photographers, and get a gorgeous sunrise photo. Note that it WILL be windy, and if it's October through mid-April, it WILL be cold. Saturdays are the busiest day for people during spring/summer, so be prepared to arrive early (6-7am).
