Samantha & Jonathan's Wedding at The Highland Loft | Elgin, IL | Kane County
Samantha & Jonathan (JJ) married on Friday, October 1, 2021, and the Highland Loft Event Venue in Elgin served as the perfect backdrop for their wedding. They kicked off the "official" Fall Wedding Season in style with beautiful bridesmaids' gowns and decorations in muted terra cotta and earthy tones, and the guys donned retro-style white shirts and suspenders. The whole theme had a retro/boho style down to the rugs that lined the ceremony aisle.
I love unique ideas and this wedding did not disappoint. The flower "girl" and ring bearer were friends of theirs, and they took their positions seriously! They also both wrote letters to each other on the wedding day but did NOT exchange them. Instead, they placed them in a box at the front, with two bottles of wine, that they will open and read on their 1st anniversary, and continue that tradition each year – new wine, and new letters to each other. Sweet and wonderful traditions are already being made!
Flowers by Flower Moxie. Attire by Bridal Boys & Stich & Tie. Hair and makeup by Megan Melbourn. Food and staffing were catered by Your Day Your Way Events and Catering, and DJ, Chris Hodson from the Highland Preferred team, kept their entire bridal squad and family on the dance floor for hours after dinner. Special thanks to my second shooter, Ryan Dionne, at Night Watch Photography, who not only was my second pair of eyes the whole day but helped me pull off an AMAZING QG-ish editorial photo of the bridal party after dinner.
