Ashley & Jeff's Wedding | McHenry, IL
Wedding blog Wednesday!!! Ashley & Jeff were married at a small intimate private venue in McHenry, IL in September of this year. Although the location is a privately owned former equestrian barn turned man cave, it was the perfect spot for their outdoor wedding.
Ashley and her bride squad got ready at a small little upstairs apartment belonging to the owner, just across the street from the barn, and Jeff and his guys dressed at the barn. The whole location was decorated by Ashley, her friends, and her family. Burlap and lace adorned the table centerpieces, and the refinished interior wood barn gave it a warm and cozy feeling. Ashley and her dad had a first look, as well as Ashley and her bridesmaids. Jeff had the first look with his mom, and it seemed neither of them could really believe after so many years of dating through high school and college that the time had finally come to make it official. Both Ashley and Jeff were full of nerves and excitement, but it was completely apparent just how excited he was when she walked down the aisle with her dad.
I stood just behind the ceremony altar as he faced me just before being told to turn around, and his eyes were full of tears of happiness. They both smiled the entire day and you could see just how happy they were together. Following dinner, they shared a video of all the photos of them through their years of dating, as well as their travels, and other than getting older, they have not changed a bit.
Congratulations, Ashley & Jeff. You both did an amazing job throwing a beautiful party to celebrate your big day in such a unique hidden location. After seeing your photo montage of all the traveling you've done together so far, I cannot wait to see where your travels will take you both!
