Esme & Manny's Wedding in Calumet City, IL & Munster, IN

Esme and Manny contacted me early in 2021, seeking a photographer for their wedding. Little did I know this would lead us to many firsts for our team of 4. This was our first full catholic wedding, complete with mass and communion in an enormous, beautiful church in Calumet City, IL – St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. This was completely new to us, and to top it off, it was mostly in Spanish. We then headed to the beautiful Centennial Park located in Munster, IN, in hopes of beating the rain, and where they proceeded to party the night away. The rain held off for their formal portraits, and I could not be more excited to share them here!

The reception was also (mostly) in Spanish, but their DJ, Peter, didn't let us down. He kept us in the loop to let us know what was going on. More firsts were encountered, as they introduced us to the Dollar Dance, followed by "La Vibora de la Mar" (the Snake Dance), which is a tradition in Mexican culture. We, in turn, introduced them to the speed-dating of table photos, where it became a race against the clock for them to get to every table at the reception and get one photo with each group. They successfully won the challenge, and got some great photos to remember all the guests that attended.

We are so happy we were asked to be a part of their wedding day – it was challenging, fun, and I am still exhausted from it all, but I can say it's definitely a wedding I will never forget. THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!!
