Isabella & Tim's Wedding at Prairie Street Brewery | Rockford, IL
Isabella & Tim were wed at Priairie Street Brewery in Rockford, IL at the end of April. The venue was unique and absolutely amazing with its river views, rustic brick interior and spacious event rooms.
They say that rain on your wedding day is a beautiful omen of good luck. With my whole heart, I believe this 100%. When we arrived Saturday morning, I could already tell that Isabella was disappointed in the weather forecast. 90% chance of rain, and her ceremony was scheduled to be outdoors.
We went ahead with our normal schedule of details, reception area shots, and her and Tim getting ready with their bridal squad. As we inched closer to the ceremony time, it looked less and less likely that the ceremony would be held outside. I could clearly see her disappointment, but reassured her we would still get amazing photos of the two of them, just for her to keep her fingers crossed it wasn't a complete wash-out.
The ceremony went off without a hitch, and although small, it was cozy and intimate. We took the bridal party all outside for a few quick snaps before the thunder started rolling in, and we made it back inside just before the bottom fell out of the cloud. I could still see the disappointment in Isabella's eyes, as I knew she wanted portraits of her and Tim outside.
The reception started, and the sun came out like a mega spotlight just as the speeches began. The clouds cleared, and they ended up with that golden hour sunset that every photographer dreams about. Another rainy wedding day where plans were changed last minute, but then someone, somewhere, was watching out for them, to make their wedding dreams come true.
Congratulations, Isabella & Tim... we loved seeing familiar faces, sharing your big day with us, and giving us the opportunity to capture the ever-important moments that mean the most to you both!
