Mallory & Brandon's Wedding | The Highland Loft | Elgin, IL
I knew the second Mallory & Brandon wanted their dog, Willow, in their engagement session photos, THESE WERE MY PEOPLE. I can never say no to dog requests. During their engagement session, when they told me Willow would be their ring bearer, I was stoked.
Mallory chose beautiful fall colors for their October wedding, along with mums, sunflowers, and pumpkins galore. Being in Illinois, you never know what weather you'll face mid-October. It might rain, could snow, but their wedding day weather was spot-on perfect for outdoor photos with their bridal party. Brandon showed off his handyman skills with a beautiful hexagon for the front of the ceremony, which also served as the backdrop for their head table at dinner. Willow did an amazing job with being ring bearer (and snoozing through part of the ceremony), but also adorned the top of their cake in mini-statue form.
The couple shared their first dance with each other, followed by dances with their parents. They wrapped up the night with a sparkler "send-off" downtown under the string lights, I highly recommend for couples getting married at The Highland Loft to do a sparkler exit there – it pulled the couple away from the reception crowd for just a few minutes with their bridal party and immediate family in tow, and ended with a kiss under the string lights before heading back up to close down the dancefloor.
Keep following their story, as their wedding highlight video will be coming soon!
Congratulations, Mallory & Brandon. You pulled off the perfect fall-themed wedding, included Willow in all the festivities (with great photos to cherish), and had an epic sparkler exit to end the night. We are looking forward to learning if you will be adding a furry or human baby brother or sister to the family for Willow!!!!
