Kimberly & Daniel's Wedding | The BRIX on Fox | Carpentersville, IL

We are back with another Wedding Blog Wednesday! Kim & Daniel said "I do" in mid-October, and this was a new location for me – The BRIX on Fox has been on my radar for a while, hoping one of my couples would hold their event there, and it was everything I hoped for.

I have worked with Kim & Daniel since their engagement session last year. In late winter this year, Kim reached out about doing a boudoir session with me, and she SMOKED it. I cannot believe she held out giving him the album from our session in March until the night before their wedding!!!! I was climbing the walls waiting to hear how he liked it, and based on the three shades of red he exuded when I asked, I'll say it was a BIG hit.

They were both excited as could be on their big day, I think ready to just get it over with, and they had such a fun wedding party by their sides. The all-in-one venue was just their style, and the fall colors she chose were perfect for their October nuptials. During the reception, I was chatting with my second photographer, Ryan, and we were flipping through the photos taken so far, and I was so touched by the image we captured of Daniel kissing her hand when she got to the front and was teary-eyed. He was a bit misty himself. They exchanged excited smiles and giggles throughout their ceremony, but after knowing them for so long, I think I was just as happy as they were that the big day had finally arrived.

Kim only asked for two things out of her photos from their wedding day – she wanted photos "by the tree" (and anyone who has married at the Brix, knows what she was referring to) and that she wanted "end-of night sexy pictures." I needed a bit of clarification for that one, but after a few examples, I understood her vision, and we made it happen. I absolutely love when couples stray from the norm and ask for something unusual, and when her gallery was delivered, she told me she LOVED her end-of-night photos. Although it was a bit steamy (but still PG-rated), they came out smoking hot, and something I am sure they will treasure for years to come.

Congratulations, Kimberly & Daniel. I can't believe we finally got to your big day and it was just as amazing as I expected it to be! You two are certainly destined for great things in life, and you'll be doing it all together, no doubt!!!
